Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have a question? You can ask it via email at skillitani@gmail.com.

Can you tell me more about the upcoming competition?

The competition will run for three (3) months and reward monetary prizes to the top three scorers of Eclipses. The overall winner will be awarded 30% of all Eclipses testing fees for the competition period, second place 20%, and third place 10%. So, if 100 contestants enter at 10 USD each, the winner gets 300 USD, 2nd place 200 USD, and 3rd 100 USD. Payments will be made through PayPal.

Members of the Moonlight Society are entitled to free scoring, but need to send 10 USD with their submission to enter the competition.

When will the norms be updated for a test?

The preliminary norms for each test are updated on a case-by-case basis. Sometimes, relatively few testees provide prior I.Q. scores, so I don't have much data to work with. Regardless, a histogram is published at 8 submissions and updated at 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, ... submissions. Ideally, a full statistical report and "official" norms occur at 32 submissions.

How many tests do you plan on publishing? When will they be published?

In the first week of January 2025, most free tests will be revised to improve their quality. Other than that, Eclipses will be published on 1 January 2025. Maybe another test will be published every 6-12 months from then on.

Why was Wonderland Test revised?

One of the analogies in Wonderland Test was solvable using artificial intelligence, which was unacceptable to me. I know that some easier tests and problems can be solved that way, but on Wonderland, a test where each problem is worth many standard points, I couldn't allow that.

Which I.Q. test is your favorite?

My favorite test is Numerus Strictus Logicae 36 by Andrei Udriste. It's the most beautiful and novel test that I've ever seen.
